I realize that I am getting a lot of bouncing users who are outside my geographic area. I would like to switch certain groups over to a geo-targeted campaign. This should dramatically improve my bounce rate, but keep the same CTR. Is it better to start them in a new campaign or change the existing? Am I correct in saying that Google uses bounce rate to determine quality - and hence position? If that is true; is it better to "bring-up"the current quality score, or is it better to start with a clean slate? Which would be quicker and cheaper? You help is appreciated! Mark
google does not put a strong focus on bounce rate, since bounce rate can dramatically differ from site to site. If you plan on geo targeting, do it for budget and conversion reasons and not for google QS reasons. You will be putting to much effort into something that has little payoff. If you geo target your campaigns, set up the geo targets in new campaigns and remove those areas from the current campaign
