I am currently setting the locations for my ads to run, and I could really use some advice. Before, I was just targeting the United States, but I have just added: Canada, Australia, and the UK. I assume these are good choices because they are all English speaking areas, but is there more to it? Another concern is that my primary payment processor is Paypal. I did just add Google checkout to the choices, but I want to make sure that at least one processor is accepted in all of these areas. I really appreciate any help or advice! Thank you, Stephen
Hi I have a client who sells to Aus, UK, US and Canada. We use Paypal to process payments and use xe.com to determine currency equivalents so that we can charge Aus customers in AUD, UK customers in GBP etc. Works really well. While I haven't tested I can say with some confidence that you will increase conversions by selling in local currency. It also helps to have someone from each country giving advice on your landing pages. Somethings of American culture get lost in translation, especially here in Aus. (Aus would be clueless what a cellphone is just as an American might not know what "fair dinkum" means") If you need a guy who knows the Aussie market, PM me lol
