Im about to throw in the towel, with my adsense and webmaster career.

I have put hundreds of hours in for nothing worth while.

    Heres an example:

    www.sensibleacneadvice.com

    - I put in about 100 hours writing the content alone.
    - Submit it to everything i possibly can
    - Paid someone $100 to SEO the site.

    Results:
    - 30 uniques a day. On average making no imcome. Absolutely useless traffic.

Same story for all my other sites.

This is going to be it for me. Im throwing in the towel.

All this work and no reward. Its been a waste of a year of my life.

I heard it takes upwards of three attempts before you thrive with a business; the failures, and the knowledge you gain from those, are the basis of the ensuing success. Consider this – your website, once adequately established, will gain visitors itself and operate forever (literally) to make you a consistent, residual income. You may go on vacation, or take a temporary leave to swap daytime jobs, but there will still remain a cheque in your mailbox from Google at the end of the month. Heck, your website works 24 hours per day, seven days a week, however many (365) days an year. Accordingly, make a bit over $270 per day, and you are netting close to $100,000 per annum. Keep in mind, that’s residual income, in addition to your daytime job and/or business. With four hours remaining, and with one website (the latter one has not been marketed yet), here are my statistics for today with absolutely no time invested:

Moral of the story? Hang in there man; you can only learn from your downfalls. I've shared your feelings on more than one occasion, yet I'm still here. :)

I know the feeling of not getting anything to work. I've operated several websites with various levels of success. Only now have I had that breakthrough in traffic and income... but not sure how long it will be sustained. Just keep at it and build more sites and more content. 10 sites each earning just $10/day would make you a $35,600 annual revenue. That's more than most people live on in the US.

    Hey Joey,

I have been into IM since last December and am sitting at about $10 a day after all these months. Not much but it gets better by the week. Stick in there.

A tip....your site doesnt look that pretty. Content is excellent but it needs a little tinkering around.

Maybe take a rest for a few weeks and see how you think about things then. Don't do anything rash (i.e. selling up) without thinking about it. I have sites that I regret selling.

hey man, im in your shoes as well. spent a yr learning, now im implementing, and yet have only made a few cents. the more angry i get, the more motivated i get, the more i dont want to quit. i think everyone who is ever successful always faces a certain level of 'damn i want to quit'. but thats where the line is drawn between those who succeed and those who dont. just take some time off and switch things up.

keep walking. Those failures are to make you stronger. When you'll start another project, you'll know the steps NOT to follow.

One of my site took a year to start making more than $1-2 a day and I spent hundreds of hours too on it. It's not my best performing site (so so topic) but at least right now it just keeps on accumulating $8-9 a day without any efforts on my part, while I focus on other projects. If you really like this business (I guess that's the ultimate motivation), work hard, learn a lot and be patient, it'll be worth your while. Depending on the competition in your field, Google can really takes it time before sending you traffic for main keywords, 6 months to a year, usually.

    how old site your site?

i think your problem is related with your site age.

after one year, i'm sure that you will get more traffic and as a result of traffic , you will start to earn.

just wait and continue to work:)
