I have 5 years old domain and it's rank well on many keywords now i want to add 100 to 200 more keywords on this site and also change design of every page, is there any risk of my site ranking? and some one said if I'll do extra off page work then it can also effect my site ranking is that true? if i'll increase more back link then it can hurt of my site ranking?? please suggest. for the first half: if you alter the design of pages, your ranks will get dropped for sometime. But if you keep the code neat it will be back in a few days. for the second: off-site works have +ve effect on your rankings not -ve.
You want to add more keywords ? Keyword stuffing is a bad practice. Only keep necessary words. Define extra offpage work, about backlinks - get as many as you can there is no penalty there never was. Just get relevant backlinks only.
If you change the content on your site the next time it is indexed Google will look at the site in another light, adding keyword for the sake of adding keywords is a bad idea. Create great new pages with top notch content would be the way to go, repeating keywords on page will also be of no help what so ever. Backlinks will never ever "hurt of my site ranking??" Great content will attract links, you need relevant, trusted backlinks in your field.

If you want to target additional keyword phrases then do it by adding new pages to your site... preferably 1 page per new targeted keyword phrase. As far as redesigning your site goes, it will likely affect it... possibly positively... possibly negatively. There will likely be a few days or weeks after first implementing the changes where your rankings will suffer a bit even if they changes are ultimately positive. It takes the search engines a bit of time (several complete crawls of the site) to absorb the changes and recalculate your rankings. Be very careful when redesigning your site if you're doing anything other than changing styles via CSS. No he is not going for the keyword stuffing i think he is telling he would add 100 more keywords to the site which means extra pages for those keywords.
Still the wrong way to go isnt it??????? Creating pages to have keywords in them?????? @2advance do you think thats the correct way to go??????
Hi Jason Meta tags play no part in seo no part what so ever, and also a very very dangerous think to say to someone is if you alter the "Title Tags" The title tags being the most important single element of any website, I have tested and tested of the last 3 years the effect this has on a web site. I.E loss of ranking in the serps that never come back So to state the above is a crazy thing to do withouT researching the op site.

Hi Aryans, You should write great content that might in time atract backlinks............ 1, adding more pages is a great idea, but adding pages just to fit keywords in is a bad idea. 2, More relavent trusted backlinks great idea.
