Generic E-mail Claims I copied content

Just looking for some guidance related to this e-mail I just received. It opens by sarcastically saying he likes my articles and then adds because how similiar they are to his articles. And that if he doesn't get some sort of satisfaction he is going to file a suit in my state. And don't bother changing my site bc he already downloaded a copy.

These are the things that seem sketchy to me

1.My site only has articles I wrote myself.
2.The e-mail was generic, it could have been sent to thousands others
3.He claims the phone number he gave me (not to call him back mind you, but just in case I thought "he was playing") was for a consumer rights legal services and I did a reverse phone number search and nothing came up like an attorny's office just a private number.

The only possibility I can think of is some articles I purchased from an SEO company. These aren't on my site though, just scattered around article sites such as ezinearticles.

Let me know what you guys think.

This is a scam. He would tell you to take them off site because he has copyright and can show it.

If you wrote articles i would just add his email to block list if it was real a lawyer would contact you.

Fake, I get this kind of stuff every month. Nothing happened and they all ended up in the trash can.
    Good luck ;)

I would email him back asking what articles exctly he is talking about and if I didn't get a reply then I would know it was a generic email.

Thanks for clearing this up guys. It's been almost a week and I haven't heard anything further. You know this really angers me. Although I knew I had done no wrong, I was still unnerved to receive such a threatening e-mail. Do you think there is anything I can do to stop this particular spammer?
