Generic Domain Names

    Hi all,
I have my eyes on several generic domain names and was wondering whether they will prove to be valuable.
I would like assistance on keywords that pay well for such generic domain names. For example if I was to buy table.com would keywords such as ruler, paper, book be high payers, or is that dependant on the parking company?

    Regards

Domains, whether generic or not have nothing to do with keywords that are high paying or not.

Your question can be answered in a number of ways depending on what exactly you are looking for.

A good two word generic domain, it's value shouldn't really be determined by factors regarding it's daily or monthly visitor count, how old it is etc or how well paying the related keyword is for parking, this is all besides the point.

A very good generic two word domain should be able to 'stand on it's own two feet', as an important asset to a company in it's own right, as that companies face, doorway, inviting others in, to do business with them and their products and services provided, whatever they may be.

As regards two word generics for parking though, it depends on the parking company being used for that particular domain - some as you may know, are a lot better than others.

Personally I can't stand parking domains with parking companies, I think it misses the point entirely and can in fact damage quite significantly a good domain name value, as the emphasis on it's value base is misplaced.

It may well be better to put for now a very simple website together for each two word generic domain name, whack in some useful original content of your own for each page (about 5 pages would be fine), host it with an unlimited hosting account such as Hostgator, enable some Adsense and perhaps an Amazon box, a few backlinks, some simple promotion and allow it to float off into cyber space across the net.

A website like this using a handy little tool should take no more than 15 minutes to put together, the original unique content you can add yourself or use an article writer here at DP, just 2-300 words on each page will be fine.

Look at it this way. Each domain costs less than 10 bucks per year and the hosting etc is negligible in terms of costs. If your site brings you in just $1.00 per day in revenue and sometimes more, that's $365 per year on each domain, times that by 1000 websites and you are earning about $365,000 per annum.

It might take you a while to get there, the work would be boring and tedious as all hell for a few months as you put the sites together, but once done, just a few tweaks here and there to keep everything running smoothly and bobs your uncle.

A very simple plan to implement if you have the time and the patience to implement it.

The key is to keep everything as simple as possible and as streamlined ascan be, with each domain boasting if short, good original, unique content on each page that is actually very useful to anyone reading it.

I don't know whether this answers your question or assists you in any way at all, but I hope so.

If I've gone way off mark, just tell me and I'll do my best to answer you another way.

As I said there are a few answers to that original question depending on the motive behind the original query, the answer / reply that you are seeking.

    To your continued success!

Magawr made some great point about parking!
Even though I park a lot of domains and develope only a few..here what I do when I park a domain!
    I pick a keyword..run it through https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal?defaultView=2
(I have the results set to the language that I am targetting and country or I use "all countries") and run my keyword(s) throught it and look at the "avg search volume" make a list of top 5 (my preference) and use those keywords!

As for "high paying" well there are plenty of websites/blogs that list the "high paying keywords (I even have one lol) just do a search!
