Generating more traffic

I just established my first blog last week and wish to generate more traffic. Currently averaging about 80 hits a day. I have good content and add to it every day. I've set up meta tags, submitted to key search engines, and I'm pinging other search engines regularly. Anything else I'm missing?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, islandhopper

You can buy some traffic through Google Adwords, Overture, or one of the second tier ad networks like 7Search, SearchFeed, or GoClick.

You should also blend in your ads a little more, make it the same color as your blog content and put it inline in the blog content. You have the colors nicely assigned on your ad on the right but having a second or third ad in line in the content would be a little less ad-like and more likely to get clicks.
