Generate sales on Alibaba

How can I sell used mobile phones & parts on Alibaba.com without infringing on another company's copyright or trademark? I buy multiple brand name mobile phones from private individuals and turn around and resell these phones to other individuals through wholesale and retail deals depending upon the condition of the phones. How can I work around Alibaba's requirement of having to provide proof of authorization to distribute the phones? It's apparently obvious they allow Chinese sellers to sell replica iPhone clones on their site but block anybody else trying to sell the real thing.

I'd say try somewhere else, but I sense you want to be on Alibaba...

Why not ask on Alibaba? I'm sure their customer service team will answer your questions.

Alibaba's customer service team keeps telling me I have to modify my posting. Even if I use the simple terms "Mobile Phone" in my posting. I can't post the product on their site. I'm going to try TradeKey also but I want to be on Alibaba also since majority of businesses and customers interact on their site. I will ask around in the community forum.

Never use Alibaba .You'll get a very bad reputation among many groups . I know it can be a pain but the best solutions are to sell them on e-bay or send out your offer to shop that you can deliver the product to . Although you're not a approved distributor many people would be delighted to get ultra cheap products .

Alibaba is better for B2B verses ebay (B2C). I have read Alibaba's Terms and Conditions plus even called Apple attempting to obtain permission to distribute their used iphones that I buy from the actual owners but Apple won't provide me authorization to resell their used products. According to Apple store employee in my region, Apple washes its hands of dealing with customers who have either brought a jailbroken iphone from somebody else or have jailbroken their iphones themselves. I'm working on starting my own ecommerce site but I can't sell them too cheaply because my aim is too make money. Ebay also limits how many listings can be posted in cell phone category per month. So I'm abandoning that site for good.

Like I've previously said before, ebay limits the number of listings you can list in specific categories on their site plus they charge high FVF along with the fees they collect on back end from PayPal. Rather sell on my own site when I get it built than on feebay. I'm selling to individuals through CL now. I would like to reach out to much wider audience on Alibaba.
