    Hi all,

Can I use xml to store some data and load it on my webpage dynamically?

If I do this, what are the advantages and disadvantages of it?

There's nothing dynamic about that if the XML is just stored. That's just an include then.

What exactly is it you are trying to achieve?

I want to show the latest article titles on my main page. I do not know how to do that. I use HTML only. Everything are static pages. I do not know PHP and all those stuffs. I got an idea of storing the title in an xml document and using a javascript i will retrieve it when loading a page and display the title under Latest articles.

I think now you will understand why am asking that question?

my suggestion>> learn how to code in php and mysql. useful tutorials can be found at http://devzone.zend.com/public/view/tag/PHP101

it's a high learning curve for newbies but at the end of the day, you will benefit from it.
Good luck and you can do it!

If you can follow instructions and know how FTP works you can get RSS running with something like MagpieRSS.
