Social bookmarking and press releases can get you 5000 no problem. StumbleUpon brings me around 50000 on a good day since once it goes viral... it's crazy. PM me if you want some tips.
And how much are those tips? And, uh, what is your url that gets that many hits from stumbleupon? And also from social bookmarking and press releases??? In other words: Show him the proof.
the answer is nit a cut and dry simple one. It takes allot of research and time to understand how internet marketing works. so sit back and do alot of research understand your target market then think of new ways of advertising. Reading and blog commenting on blogs and forums should be a daily activity at first then get into paid advertising
WHERE you advertise is not as important as HOW you advertise many people scoff at certain types of marketing, that many have success at. The reason why, is because the person just pretty much threw spaghetti on the wall to see what sticks they didnt have a plan, didn't have a target, didn't track results, diding have a USP, talked about themselves rather than the benefits of the offer, tried to close the sale on first impression and many common mistakes. All of the ways listed here work, but each has its own methodology on how to achieve success from that particular vehicle. One of the biggest issues people have is understanding the difference between active and passive customers/marketing.
When you say "I want 5000 visitors a day", that makes me think that you are getting too hung up on the hit counter. That isn't so bad, but I know of lots of places where I can send you 5000 hits per day for under $3.00. Trouble is the traffic is terrible. I would concentrate on targeted traffic. Assuming you are selling something you want to be targeting buying keywords which typically translates to long tail keywords. For example, if someone is searching for the word "diet", they may be doing a research paper, they may be browsing for ideas, they may be looking for free information, whatever. Then again, with the numbers game, they may be in a buying mood too. But, if you get someone that is searching for "lose weight for summer wedding", then you have someone that is hungry for some specific information, and is in a time crunch more than likely. Now, with that knowledge, use the traffic sources that people have already mentioned. Don't worry about 5000 visitors. Worry about what those visitors that do visit your site are looking for? How long are they are on your site. What page are they leaving your site from? If you are doing Google PPC you may want to look into site placement where you place your ads only on certain sites. This way you are speaking more to your target audience and spending less. It will help your ROI. You may not get as many hits, but the ones you do will be more focused. Good luck!
you can start doing social bookmarking to get quick traffic to your website but its the content that decides whether a visitor will return back to your website or not so as to get consistent traffic numbers
blog commenting will help if you aren't an idiot about it. Reach out and participate in your niche. That will drive traffic.
Do your keyword research and hit youtube hard. Buy hits for some, do seo, and just upload several videos in the niche you are trying to make money in. And don't do it all with a single account... Youtube can be a massive traffic source for your sites and it's "mostly" free.
I say either buy ads, host freebies (such as an ebook, and then require an RSS subscription before they can get the ebook), or hold contests and lotteries from time to time (like i am doing in my signature ^_^).. don't do things like digg, blog commenting, commenting on forums with your website in your sig... those methods are overdone, and nobody cares about your website no matter how good the content, because they won't visit it in the first place. how do I know this? Well, i just started up my blog a few weeks ago, and trust me, only a few lucky people strike rich by doing blog commenting, forum sigs, social bookmarking, ezine articles, etc. etc.... I've done all those things and it just hasn't worked for me. Instead, this is what I would do... Post a video on youtube like *FREE xyz* then give them instructions on what to do in order to lead them to your website. Post your articles on forums. Host monthly contests and lotteries. Use keywords to your advantage. go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal then if your website is about video games, type in "video games" in the above link and look for keywords then type in google the related keywords. when you find sites at the top of the searchlist, visit those sites and try to find ways to guest post with the website, or partner with the website. Remember, do things differently, usually the best things come straight from you.
I agree. Video marketing is the most effective way to promote something. Also, the idea that the search engine traffic is the best traffic is absolutely right.
Another way of finding great quality traffic in short amount of time is by doing joint venture with some other internet marketers.. Although you are still a newbie, it's not really a problem.. You can find how easily it is to find & deal with joint venture partners through my website below on my signature link... To Your Success.!
