General tips for a new retail apparel related blog?

I'm coming from the adult blogging side of which I'm also fairly new. Just wondering if you guys would be able to give me some good general tips on this kind of site. It will promote various types of shoes and I plan to use most sponsor/affiliate type stuff to monetize the main content.

• With this kind of blog, do "feeder" blogs help with traffic as they do in adult?
  
• Is there a good place to trade links with other blogs of this nature?
  
• What are some good places to start with monetizing other than google adsense and of course my main "sponsors"? I plan on putting those in anyway.
  
• Is it even possible to make money doing any kind of retail blogging nowadays while out there with all the retail giants like amazon?

It's possible to make money doing anything, if its done right.

I know homeless who people to beg on streets and get lucky if they make 10 dollars a day(I always buy this old man at McDonalds food and sometimes talk to him).

There's homeless(Or so they claim)people in my town who make easily 600 dollars a day from begging because of their location.

Why the disrespect? You ASKED if it was possible to make money doing it, and I gave you a answer, followed by an example.

 

Even though according to you I'm a "bonehead" I will give it a shot at helping you. If you use other PPC with google adsense, that's a good way to get banned.. Just a peice of advice and you need to know what kind of shoes you're aiming towards, running shoes, baseball clets, Tap dancing shoes, dress shoes.. Saying "shoes" isn't good enough. If you want any kind of SEO you will need to know what type of shoes.

You gotta love the people in these forums. I come in here and FIRST post try to put out something simple with four questions. Someone comes along and tells a story about a panhandler at McDonald's and says "you can do it if you do it right!". Then, he expects that he helped me out so much.
