    Hi everyone,

I just added some sites in the co-op network - the URLs, titles, decriptions...

I read around for some time, also looked at all the info throught the whole process of registering and adding, etc..

I would need some help regarding several general questions:
short and simple answers would be most appreciated

Q: What is the main idea of the co-op network?
I saw that it's related to banner/text ads. By putting the script on a sites of ours I got an ad there. So... how does the system find the most appropriate link related to the content of my site?

Q: What is that "weight", and do I gain weight for my sites?
Is is based on "times clicked" on the ads I put on my site? And... the answer of the question in general.

I would like to apologize, those questions should have been asked a thousand times .
Sadly I really don't the idea of what steps to follow and how that would affect my sites...

Thank you for your time even for reading this thread.

    Have a gr8 day!

Others can give you a better answer than I but until someone else posts here is my understanding

The idea of the co-op is to provide free advertising to its members. The nextwork is not a contectual network and randomly pulls ads from the bank of ads available.

There are two type of ads a member can run banner ads or text link ads. From what I have seen most members run five text link ads in their footer region of their page. Some set them up vertically in their menu areas on either side of thier page.

Weight in the co-op depends on the pagerank of the base URL, the number of pages Google has indexed for base URL (supplemental results do not count), and the number of ads running per page.

    Welcome to the forum.
