    Hello Digital Point…

I am looking at promoting the following website www.icecricket.co.uk

Now its Google number 1 for the search term “ice cricket” however I would like to increase traffic to the site and maybe get number 1 for the search term “cricket tours!”

I have been recommended to submit articles to loads of sites which I will be doing over the next couple of weeks.

Can anybody suggest ways of optimising the above for cricket tours or the best way of getting some quality traffic.

First thing you should do is make this http://www.icecricket.co.uk/base.html the home page. Not that intro page with only a .jpg image on it.

Give Google some text content to chew on. And include your targeted terms in the content.

Nothing to do with search engine, but, check your site in FireFox. Some things are not lining up properly. Looks fine in IE.

Remove the splash page, get some quality links, add some meta description and keyword tags.

Check out the google text cache of your homepage.

Not many keywords to help your rankings is there?

If you write 2 articles I can submit to 225 sites. Each gives you a link to your website with the anchor text of your choice.

Yes, you can have 2 links in the resource box so in theory you can promote 4 sites if you want.
