We recently came up with an idea of setting up a blog (http://www.iwebie.com) without a specific niche. As in, users could post topics on different topics of interest. It would grow up to be a Big Blog with Multiple Categories and Topics. We have one Question here. We have not submitted our blog to any Directories till date. When I visit a Blog Directory, it asks me to select the Specific category to submit my blog into. How is this possible for a Blog of a General Niche not pertaining to a specific topic. Could you please help me how to go about Blog Submission to Directories for such blogs
I think you should just find a general category and stick with that. However, I think by being too broad, you run the risk of not succeeding in any category. As they say, if you target everyone, you target nobody. Just my 2 cents!
Many directories will have Blogs -> General, Blogs -> Others, Blogs -> Personal category that you can try.. if it's VERY general blog with no specific topic and no plan to earn a revenue.. don't bother submitting to directories
Just submit to the general ones. If they won't let you, skip it I guess. I also agree a great deal with the posters above me.
