I would really need some help and I actually don’t know who I can ask so I thought I would try this forum. I am the owner of a German subscription based stock forum (focus on technical analysis and Elliott wave theory): www.traderzlounge.de . There are actually 2 businesses: the forum and the more or less independent financial front page (with news, articles and stuff for free…) I want more visitors on my homepage and I tried different ways but I don’t know a useful way to invest in marketing. What I have tried so far was affiliate marketing: I tried all the big ones and I only got accepted within two programs however this was a wrong way as it seems. These affiliate partners are not my client targeting pages ( a lot of paid 4 services and a few Russian dating site…I don’t want my commercial being on that pages). I haven’t tried zanox since they have a 5000€ starting fee and a 500€ monthly fee next to the provisions you have to pay for the publisher. I have tried Google words for 200€ a month. Right now I am unsure what to do. There are like 5000€ I would like to invest within the next couple of month but I don’t know if it is useful. Good SEO costs around 2000€ one time and 900€ per month (at least 12 month) so all in all nearly 12.000€ and I don’t know if I get more visitors if I am number one with a few keywords. In the financial sector it is very tough to be the first one. What do you think is the best way to invest the money? What do you think is the best way to promote my page to get more visitors (preferable german speaking people who are interested in stocks and technical analysis)?
Seems like you need some help but I want to understand this clearly... Have you sold anything yet in terms of your services? How are you planning to make money? Once you clearly explain to me your product/service that you are selling, then I may be able to guide you in the right direction. Spending money on Adwords, etc without actually figuring out who your customers are and where they will be, you will definitely waste your money.
Thank you very much for your fast answer. I have my homepage since 2008 (page rank 2). Currently 250k pi, 30k visits and around 8k unique users (that’s what google analytics tells me). As I tried to say before (sorry for my bad English): there are like 2 sections of my homepage. There is apart for free (news, articles, and daily and weekly analysis) and a part where you have to pay a monthly fee. What we basically do is day trading so there is support from 8 am to 10 pm (gmt +1). We have already made 100% in our depot (which people are rebuilding with their own money). To sum it up: basic information is for free however when it comes to specific recommendation the client has to pay a monthly fee.
