I have a few website on different topics but i want to know such General Marketing methods for my small website business to promote my website to gain more customers and visitors. What should i do for it. Waiting for experts answers.

I thought I was the only one that felt this way.... I think they need more moderators... This forum has a lot of junk and untrue answers in it that need to be cleaned up immediately!
Well you can use social marketing, RSS submission, free press releases, article marketing by posting articles related to your topic in article directories, you can also do video marketing if your niche allows it and you can use powerpoint slides to make a video etc. You can also post in forums related to your niche. These are some of the general traffic methods, and like others have said before me you can use the search function here to find many threads in which this topic have been discussed many times.
Start by creating a buzzle account, post there first, then post to ezine your blog, etc - then use social media, rss feeds, etc - build backlinks, etc etc etc - search is your friend - dont be afraid to use him
