Selling General Discussion Forum - PR3 Domain - Huge Forum - $250 a month

Hello,

My name is Tony and I am selling my general discussion forum. It is quite a large general discussion forum and I have created it myself without any paid help. The forum is three years old next week (from when I am writing this, June 15th is the anniversary). It is a great forum as the community is very personal and the staff are the best staff an administrator can ask for.

What the site is: It is an general-discussion aka off-topic forum where members can discuss any topic to their desire. We've had discussions on the Illuminati, US Politics, member's vehicles, the NBA finals and such. Any section can be added and do well if you'd like.

The Reason I am Selling: Personally, it is hard for me to do this as this was my first successful site, but unfortunately, I need to pay some bills. Schooling bills, credit bills, etc. The issue is that I need to sell this site to help pay for everything and this site deserves an amazing owner. With the effort, a new owner can make this place even more amazing.

• Custom Wordpress Skin (for the homepage I wanted to do.)

Currently, posts are a bit slow due to exams for school and people moving home, but once summer comes around, the forum becomes extremely active as everyone loves posting.

Membership / Statistics: We get a lot of new members especially for how we rank on Google for our keywords.

Messages/Posts: 405,173
Members: 5,065

Revenue:I make approximately $250 a month through advertisements and have made a lot more through paid subscriptions with the site as VIP membership is $10 a year and Platinum membership is $100 a lifetime. Also, the site takes donations which members try to upgrade them and others to platinum. Currently, there are 9 members of platinum and 35 VIP members (some which are donating to earn the platinum membership). As of now, I only use Google Adsense, but you can definitely add other networks to monetize the site. I don't have much experience in that field, but it could work. If the new owner sold clothing that mentioned the site, that would do very well.

Traffic: We are a page rank 3 and expected to go up. Stumbleupon was recently added to the site and it is definitely doing well on it. There are about 7,000 unique visitors a month, about 100,000 page views and quite a number of posts per month / users per month. What I am asking for might be a bit crazy, but I never sold a site, so if it doesn't do well, I will more than likely sell to the highest person.

With XenForo, there is no way of really telling. We can get a few hundred - thousand especially with certain threads.

 

Where does your traffic come from?

 

A lot of it is from Google. Many is from other forums that link to us. Twitter and Facebook are nice sources.

 

I 2nd this, it's a great forum and I've been trying to talk Tony into selling it to me for a year now.

Yeah, I think he used thebestforumever.com as a preferred domain in Google webmaster or .htaccess. So, if you search it with www. then you won't get the desired result

 

Interesting site, Ive added it to my subscriptions and if the budget warrants a bid in 10 days time i will certainly entertain it. Looking for a new little project so this could well be a good one to go for .
