General affiliate question on websites

I have some sites and blogs and some of which I encorporated various affiliate links and Adsense. I try to only use ones that are relevant to the post or the page/site, which brings me to my question.

Is it worth it to have a bunch of different affiliates OR is it better to focus on just one or two?

The problem that I see is that it will take forever to get paid because I'll very slowly be reaching the minimum payouts across all the affiliates.

This question is fairly hard to give you a definite this or that.

Really you'll need to test to find which will be the best for your site.

Generally speaking, I have seen better sales (Sometimes up to 50% increase) when using multiple offers. It really does depend on your site and how you promote it though. :)

Another thing you could try is many different merchants products, but us an affiliate network like shareasale. At least if one merchant doesn't work but you have earn't $19 by trying them out and the min payout level is $25, then you don't have to worry so much with an affiliate network. This is because no matter what merchant or how many merchants you earn pennies from, all your earnings will get consolidated into one larger check which normally gets paid on monthly (depends on affiliate networks pay date terms.).

    Hope that helps.

If you want a list of over 100 networks then please PM me or look at my sig (saves the PMing. lol).
