Gene Wilder vs Jonny D. as Willy Wonka

    Maybe I'm just old school, but I think the original version of Willy Wonka was the best. That's probably because it's a childhood memory for me, but I just can't see anyone else but Gene Wilder and Willy Wonka. What do you think?

    I like Gene Wilder more as Willy Wonka. His performance there is more convincing than Johnny Depp's.

    I have to agree with the OP on this one. Depp was entertaining and the remake was well done, but it just doesn't compare to the original for me. I must be old school too lol.
