Sorry, I am interested but $1000? You are joking right, that is like valuing my forum www.computalk.net at 4000 because it has 4x posts and members, and a proper unique design.

I would offer you $500-$650 for the site, if you want.

He already has offers for over $1,000 so you're beating a dead horse...

Where was this site when I had some spare acquisition cash!?

Most people on this board never receive offers by PM, I must have bought 3 or 4 sites offering below a "PM offer" that never existed.

I can't agree more. I've dealt with 2 guys who never received any offer from nobody but started negotiation with a lie from their bottom line.

I suppose you and I simply value our assets differently. Maybe our difference has something to do with the USD purchasing power in our respective parts of the world. Not really sure, but $500-650 isn't much money where I am from and that might be why I value certain assets accordingly.

In response to your comparison of our sites.... GeekBoards.com, IMO, is quite a good domain. GB also is a PR5, previously a PR6. Your domain is a .net, aside from the TLD I do not believe it is exactly comparable to "GeekBoards" (but that's really a subjective measurement) and your site has 0 for PR. Your design has vertical scrolling at 1024x768, just FYI. If your design is highly customized I bet upgrading to new versions of vB takes a bit of extra work to sort out the updated templates. It is a nice look, though. From the quick glance that I took, it does seem that your site has a reasonable level of traffic and with the design I would think your asking price is within a reasonable range.

Sure, no problem. :) Here's a link to the Google Analytics stats that I have in my first post: http://www.geekboards.com/geekboards-analytics.pdf

I received two offers of $1000 or more and several more offers of $500+. AdamGodine offered $1000. whitey99 offered $1100, but has closed out his offer (maybe to use the money elsewhere, not sure). I've heard, though, that many members on DP have had shady dealings in the past, so I can certainly understand why you both might be a bit skeptical regarding my honesty.

I'll be following-up with another post later today to turn this into an auction with a minimum starting price.

Happy to confirm I made an offer for $1100USD via PM for this forum. We aren't all shady :)

If it's within my perception of value, I'll definitely be in the game.

I've been thinking about this all day....

At this point I think I'd rather not go the auction route and will simply keep the thread open for offers. I'm actually quite hesitant to sell GeekBoards and am not sure that the minimum price I was considering is how low I want to be going with this.

whitey99, thanks for confirming your offer.

Just wanted to quickly update this thread. I've decided to continue publishing GeekBoards.com, so it's now off the market and no longer actively offered for sale.
