GD Star Rating Plugin!

I wanna make ratings for posts (Stars) -I searched and found GD Star Rating Plugin
when I setup it

I got error message
cause of permission issue

what permissions should I give to what folders to work this plugin ???

Use WP-Postrating

 

You are going to have to read the "Read Me" file and follow the set up instructions. I used that plug in before and if I remember correctly there are instructions for installation, and a forum or support page for installation help that tells you exactly what to do.

There is no general answer when it comes to permissions that will be correct for just any plug in that asks for them.

You have to follow the plug in authors instructions.

 

im lost here .... why cant you just plug in lols .....

 

ok - that makes admin rate the post - what about visitors rating ???

 

If I remember that plug in correctly, there are settings that will allow you to set voting preferences. The admin voting doesn't have to be part of that.
You can set it to unlimited, so people can vote multiple times, or set it that you can only vote once per visit.

There are many settings for that plug in, you have to get in there and tool around the setting page.

 

that plugin needs to create a folder in wp-content directory. check your wp-content directory. if there is not any folders like "gdrating", change the chmod for the wp-content directory.
