Are you people even reading the thread before replying? I've posted 3 times that GBuy is US only (And even when it rolls out, don't expect coverage anywhere near Paypals)

 

You expect gbuy to capture over 100 million users within a year? It would be impressive if they even managed that after 3 years at which point paypal will still hold more users.
Gmail didnt capture the market either infact gmail isnt even 3% of the email market. Yahoo mail has 42.4%, hotmail 22.9%, myspace mail 19.5% and gmail has 2.54% thats as of may 13th.
Google news is also way behind and is the 5th largest news site behind both yahoo and msn. Google finance has literally none of the market (yahoo and msn ahead again) The map market google are 3rd behind yahoo again. If it wasnt for adwords google would be way behind yahoo and msn.

both accounts for me but depends on features. Im starting to sway towards more gmail now instead of hotmail but heres the thing so many things are tied with the original paypal it will take time for everything to change over.

But if they offer better rates I will go for gbuy.

I think it also depends on the user I use google.com all the time but after the above post i guess others dont agree with me. I also like google images to easily find images.

Best of luck to google I hope the start a ebay type of site we need some competition for ebay as they are ripping everone off. the make a shitload and then just raise the fees again and again.

 

But after GBuy's beta version they will try to provide enough coverage as PayPal. Let us wait and see.

Good research. I dont much about market figures but all of my friend circle hardly use any other mail service now since gmail is launched. GMail still got very low % of market share as still many peoples arent aware of it. Its mostly popular among webmasters.

I am not stating GBuy will capture entire market but it will definately make a good % in the market in 1st year itself.

I just hate google for what they've become. And I know I'm not alone... lots of people know what I mean. I'm one of those "values" kind of guy, and can't stand sh*t companies like google that grow for all the wrong reasons, then wave their pockets around buying everyones technology, and trying to take over markets they've never had anything to do with before.

 

You're probably right... there are so many that will jump right in just because it's google. And so many just because they hate paypal. And finally... the followers to the above, mixed in the hype.

I will not be one of those fools.

Personally, even though ebay owns paypal, I think paypal has their sh*t together. I especially enjoy using my paypal card, it's nice to have instant access to the funds; pull cash, make purchases... etc.

Paypal has my vote.

Edit: take a look at the votes above... I wonder how many of the people that voted for gbuy even know exactly what gbuy has to offer. Besides for the common "big money company catch"... the free until "we have you in our pocket" scheme.

I hope i can use gbuy cause paypal doesn't work with my bank account. They send 2 times of money to verified my account but when i type it in it just stops. a bug actually on paypal. I hope gbuy will come out soon.
