gbot visiting a banned site?

    I am trying to sort out a friend's site that got banned. I noticed that even though the site is banned from Google, the Googlebot keeps visiting! I checked the logs and last visit was on March 30. Is this normal?

    It is also showing normal adsence banners, is this normal also?

    Yes, banned sites still get crawled if they have IBL's and can eventually get picked back up.
    Not sure about how the banning from the Google index and the adsense program are related though.

    I have never managed a banned site before and really have no idea of what to do now.

    If any banned members are out there, jump in and share your thoughts :D

    Site has thousands of links, I don't worry about that. I just found it very strange to keep getting visits from gbot and seeing normal adsense ads on it
