ok and just what is this (stereotypical) attitude and behavior, at week 7? you did make a point that it was while still in the 1st 2 months of a pregnancy.

but i know what you mean, it's the personality of the "raving queens" that you dislike. yet some girls act just the same and i bet you dont mind them.
being loud is not everyones taste.

    Think again :)
As i tried to say, it doesn't matter to me if a person is gay, male, female, or green. It's about what he represents, what personality he has.
And no, i don't like girls like that either. I am talking about behavior here, don't forget. Behavior applies to all people, men and women alike.

Men only love women loving women when both of them are femme (like in faux lesbian porn). When one of them is a butch it's not quite as attractive.

I don't know about other countries, but we (Canada) definitely have gays in political positions (parliament too, it's not common though) and my home city's mayor was gay and there was no problem at all :D He was cool:cool:

Haha, that's funny and true :p Male ego?

:) All i want to say is , its an individual's choice to decide whom he/she feels secure with. A law against it is not a solution. In fact, there is no stopping to this as nobody has the charge over any body's feelings. What has law to do with it? What was it used to be like when there was no law? Or Who are we to force any body to get fucked by someone we do not love?
Does the sun light refused to light a gay? Do the clouds refuse to wet a gay?
When the NATURE ,which is regarded as the best creation of God do not distinguish gays , who are we to look at them with a different eye
Its matter of heart and mind has nothing to do with it.
Every one is free , free to make a choice.
    Just Live and Let live.
    :)

I realise I am coming into this thread late on, and a lot of things have already been said.

    My thoughts would be this.

Gay unions - sure, no problem

Gay marriage? no, I don't agree with that. Marriage has its roots in religious beliefs, even if you aren't of a religious background you have to fundamentally agree with the beliefs of that religion you are basing your marriage on. In my mind, a gay couple cannot rationally accept a religion that doesn't accept them.

I don't know of many religions that promote same sex relationships. (whether they should or not is another argument)

I also have no problem with gay people adopting or bringing up a child. Afterall, in this day and age - any child will come across a lot of things that the previous generation didn't. As long as the child is brought up with a good sense of what is right and wrong without having prejudices forced on them - I'm ok with that.

This is what gets me... It's fine if religion wants to shun gays... But then they should get NO benefits from the government for marriage!

Separation of church and state, people! Last time the church had a say in the government, we went around calling girls witches and burning them!

I don't know about your country, but here in England - gay couples can form a civil relationship that has all the rights of marriage but without the actual term 'marriage' (and I don't know the exact term of this union is, so I apologise)

So yes, a gay couple can then adopt, they can more easily get a mortgage on a house together, they even have the same hassle when splitting up - i.e splitting of belongings that were bought when they were together, just as you would do when getting divorced.

Its marriage in all but name - and I personally think that is right. A gay couple shouldn't get marriage, but should be bound by the same laws, AS IF they were married.

Sorry, I always assume everyone else is from the US... It's good to see that England is a few steps ahead of us in this aspect... Civil unions is probably the way to go, as long as they still get the perks...

Except of course, (in the UK) a person can get married almost anywhere under the civil ceremony laws, like the old registry offices and hotels etc. NON of these places have to even mention the word religion in the ceremony yet you are still legally married after one of these ceremonies.

IMHO the reason in the UK that Gay couples can only have civil partnerships and cannot marry has more to do with the restraints of other people imposing their religious views on the masses than the actual 'acceptance' of a religious meaning to marriage.

Basically the politicians 'bottled' it as far as the church was concerned and settled on the civil partnership inorder not to upset middle england.

Some gay couples will not enter into the civil partnership as a form of protest over their inability to 'marry'. Even though many people in the UK consider the civil partnership to be a marriage.

Part of my work involves the wedding industry and I often come accross gay couples who say 'were getting married', not many say were entering into a civil partneship,

I voted yes. However, I wouldnt want to see men couples kissing on a public square for example:) Even worse, if there are any children. They can do what they want in private and be married, that's what I think.

I think in some countries it is already allowed, Spain if I remember?

Comes to mind how mayors of Paris, London, etc (all gays) try to get a positive answer on gay parade in Moscow from Luzhkov =))) He is rock solid, with a "No' answer.

    NFS, I'm curious.

Would you care if heterosexuals were kissing in a public place?

No, they already do. Okay, for example you are walking with your 5 year old son and he sees them kissing and asks, do you know what to say to him ? (till this moment his mind was crossing only with man & woman couples like his parents)
