Keeping your tires properly inflated can improve your vehicle's gas mileage (Suggest: you use the recommended tire pressure specified in your vehicle's owner's manual) will also help prevent flats.

Only fill your tank half way full. The extra weight of a full tank makes your car use more fuel.

These tips probably only make a tiny difference, but at $3.85 a gallon every little bit helps. Thanks everybody who added on too.

try to drive your car from 55 mph to 63 mph. I think that is the standard speed for optimal gas mileage. Also as mentioned before....keep at least 35 psi in your tires at all time (for regular cars). Possibly adjust to 37 or 38 to cruise a little better.

Use the cars AC instead of having your windows rolled down during the summer. The wind causes drag [which makes your car work harder], which uses more fuel than the AC does.

    Very good advice!
I've heard that tire pressure can affect gas output volume.
