We're genuinely interested in collecting opinions and honest appraisals on our domain Gardening.com (development and money making potential, domain value for a possible resale, what's the best way to use it etc ...) There's a medium competition for the "Gardening" keyword in Google so there's for sure some potential behind it, we think ... Next September we'll decide what doing with it while we're actually starting to test its traffic. Thanks since now for sharing.
Great name for a magazine type site with tips/tricks based on season, climate, region, product (flowers, trees, veggies) etc. Mid/High x,xxx to a reseller, xx,xxx to an end user. Cheers James
We've received an unexpected amount of positive feedbacks from multiple forums and channels in the latest 48h about Gardening.com and we thank you all for letting us know your honest opinion about it. We're not yet sure about its future, we'll decide within September what doing with it, if developing, renting, considering joint-ventures or selling but for sure we'll keep updated all people who inquired about it privately. We're also taking a note about all those who showed interest in a possible future cooperation: should we move in this direction, we'll study a genuine partnership proposal which will guarantee a fair and permanent profit to any of the involved parties. We've appreciated all of your opinions, maybe sometimes "a bit too optimistic" but surely we'll keep them all into serious consideration before taking a final decision about our domain. We'll surely make our decision public for next September to get involved anyone with an interest in the domain, to help us selling, renting, looking for new partners or to gather some targeted content and ideas for a possible development at mutual advantage. Thanks shemseddine , we've added you to the list of potential partners so, in case we should opt for developing it, we'll keep in touch.
Curious, how did you come to get this domain (original owner, acquired it etc)? What has the domain been doing since 1994 and how is that working? If you're committed enough and fully understand the business aspect, I'd try launching a business from it. Otherwise I would get a proper domain appraisal not just from this forum or other forums. You can then look into adding your domain to the numerous domain auction sites or lease sites around.
We don't know a lot about the previous owner who safeguarded his identity by using a Whois Proxy for the latest few years of the domain. Gardening has never been used by him/them, it has been always parked so far while we'll decide what doing with it within September but surely it's a limitation of its real potentialities keeping the same parked. We got an unsolecited offer by email from a guy who was representing the registrant so, after a long negotiation, we've acquired it. Just to satisfy a general curiosity, we didn't acquire it for nothing, unfortunately we paid a lot for the acquisition which will probably become a safe long term investment for us.
Category killer name! Usually "ing" names aren't worth that much but not the case with this one it describes the niche perfectly. I am not sure if developing is in your plans but they say that facebook use among 50+ year olds has increased dramatically. With a social media campaign this domain if developed could make a lot of money!
this could be a big sale i reckon. Gardening is n absolutely massive niche. To the right company xxx,xxx
Fantastic one-word premium dictionary domain. In domaining circles, probably worth in the low XX,XXX, but to an end buyer you could look at around late XX,XXX or low to mid XXX,XXX.
