Gaming websites, a little help ?

    I started a site in which I have different sections of types of games. I play them and write a paragraph about what I thought of them and atm I just give a link to the site with the game.

    I was wondering how people do things like put a little picture of the game with the link embedded in it so that people click that and it brings them to the game. Also if theres a way to put the games so they can be played on a new page so people dont leave your site.

    the other question I had is I have seen people 1. Having a "rating" system in which people can rate the game ?

    if anyone can help me with this it would be great for my site.


    atm my site is only different than other gaming sites because I take the time to write reviews and give people a feel for the game before playing it. If I could get the pictures like your average game site has + if I could have that open a seperate page and also have the option to rate the game it would be great.



    (sorry if this is in the wrong section or does not make sense. It is 1:30 am mind you =P )

    if I could have a site similar to that + add my game reviews and other things I have to offer I could be looking at a lot of hits so anyways, if anyone can help out thanks.

    I really hope if someone can even answer part of this they do. It would improve my site on so many levels. Especially adding the rating system next to each game so users can give there thoughts on the game via rank 1-5 or any type of rating system really.

    To answer some of your questions most of these sites along with mine run gaming arcade scripts for example i use phparcadescript(.)com the cost of this one is $45 and you can buy templates from other sites like bigdogarcade(.)com and some other sites that give you some additional modification such as forum some code improvement and so on.


    The V4 version is quite good although i recoded and cleaned up my design and gave it a fresh look. This has a lot of good features out of the box and starts you out with 1500+ games. (which are a pain to upload)

    The script he is using is http://www.avscripts.net/avarcade/ and last time i checked it was free.
