I think your ad placement is good should work out well for you. I personally like the green too. But in the fonts is hard to read at times you might want to think about that some more. And if you want an opinion about something you didn't ask about.. re-think your choices of link trades. I liked your place being a tad Irish myself and wanted to place link just cause I wanted to support the heritage but you don't have any descriptions tags. But I liked your place ... you'll do great in no time..
the colour just suits the topic and. Games site should have a colour that suits it which you have done very correctly very well done work
The first thing I clicked on was a super mario game which I then found out was an ad for RealPlayer games; the AdSense stuff is very blended in and that could be good or bad. I would suggest making the text on the sidebar darker because it's not very readable.
also noticed that there is a new trend in arcade sites...they are popping up like how xxx and pharm sites did
