I am looking to spend about $1,500. I have looked around, and there is surprisingly little options for me. Most options are for $2,000+ or around $1,000. I have checked Alienware, but decided to not use them. They charge way too much for upgrades that have no reason to be so high. I looked at IbuyPower.com, but the customer support is near non existent, and they have many bad reviews- although amazing prices. I ended up deciding against them. The Dell XPS systems looked good, but were out of my price range. I eventually built a computer at this website, and it is greatly priced- about $1,500 total after upgrades. My question is, should I spend more? I want this to be a very long term laptop for me, so it should be powerful. I have about $1,000 right now, and the amount needed to get the one I built will take atleast 2 weeks to get for me, so $2,000 is rather depressing. What would you reccomend? Am I missing a good gaming laptop maker? What kind of experiences do you have on hte subject?
Make my own laptop? I didn't even know you could do that without special requirements. Interesting. Still, I want an all-in-one package. I do not wish to build my own, and am willing to pay the extra money to have it assembled. Just need to know where to get the best deal, really.
just do a "build to order" from tigerdirect!! http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=1321&CMP=ILC-FPM-NBK though I'm poretty sure you can build to order @ Dell, HP, and the like too. We just used Systemax for our new desktop. It rips, love it.
