Gaming Campaign Confusion

My client operates location based (NOT ONLINE) gaming facilities across the country and is looking at running a PPC campaign.

Alarm bells start ringing and I check Google T's & C's

Slightly confusing but it looks ok. Better check with Google anyway. A quick phone call and a bit of "clarification" with supervisors and managers and "Yes, that is fine and does not break our T's&C's".

But then looking at the competition there is virtually non existent competition from the millions of other gaming locations across the country.

I would have expected this to be a very competitive market place but no one is really using Adwords.

Does anyone have any experience of an Adwords Campaign for gaming locations NOT ONLINE!

I once run some gaming Adwords in the past, very profitable. Since they started to ban gaming ads from this past April, I tried many ways/holes to show my ads, guess what, my ad might run for a day or two, then Google finds the hole and block it. I still can find some holes, but with no mention of "poker" on the keywords.

It doesn't matter if your biz is "online" or "offline", anything in your ad has the word "Poker" on your keywords or displays , the ad will be blocked.

Yeah notice that Poker produces zero results but Poker Casino does produce a few ads.

I can understand the Google stance of no online gambling ads but it is a little strange that they do seem to block ALL poker keywords.

Having spoken to Google they seem to advice that location gambling ads arent a problem.

its ok as long as you arent promoting an online casino. The only problem is that they block ads by keywords to make it easier on them. So if your ad is legit (for an offline gaming establishemnt) and you pick keywords that let it get displayed it will should stay up.
