GamesTalks.com Community is For Sale ! PR6, Over 7,700 Members, 3k+ U/d, 2 Years

    URL: http://www.gamestalks.com

    Age of site (months): 25

    Description:
The gamers community GamesTalks.com is for sale.

Over the years a lot of content and features added to the site, endless hours of work spent, and it become a huge gaming portal.

The community is alive for 2 years (And 1 month) and has 7,700+ members at the moment.
Other forums stats can be seen in the website. Check all of the site sections including the Arcade section (over 500 games atm), RPG etc'.
The site has many links in other sites thanks to our directory and link exchange, and it's very established in all Search-Engines.
The site has 3000+ uniques per day, and is Google PR6.

There was not a lot of revenue, but i guess that it's because we don't know how to make money out of it, because the potential is huge (just check the site in SE, traffic etc'..). Most of the money we've made was from selling advertising spots (upto $300/month)...
A lot of money is waiting for someone who knows how to use the strength of the site in order to make money..

We can also make it invisable owner change for the users.
I can keep administrate the site for the buyer for a small monthly amount (including taking care of all of the community aspects and add new games to the arcade etc').
This way all of the new owner's "headach" will be marketing the site, advertising, making money and do whatever he want with the site, without worrying about the community side - that will keep growing as it was always growing in the past.
Therefore, the new owner also doesn't have to be a gaming expert in order to succeed with the site. No gaming knowladge is needed at all.

    Minimum Offer: $10000
    BIN: $20000

You are welcome to send any other question you might have regarding the site, Make a serious offer Or Ask for the Site Statistics, by PM or Email:

    Thanks,
    Eyal A.

Here's a few possible reasons why you havn't got a single offer.....

#1. Most people buy sites for how much they can make from the site in one year. Based on $300 a month, your site is only worth $3,600.
#2. Message boards are really hard to make nice earnings. $300 is quite good for a video game message board. Heck, I got a video game message board with around 9,000 members and I'm lucky to make a few bucks a day from it!
    3. Video Games+message board doesn't = a lot of money! It's not 2000 any more, the internet CPM Gold Rush is dead!!! :(

Crash the minimum offer to $3,600 and you might start geting offers!

First of all, Thanks for the input.
But, You're just assuming i haven't got a single offer. It was posted in a few places, and there's some interested parties.

If one is looking to buy websites based on past revenue, multiples etc' GamesTalks is not what his looking for...

Not all websites' prices are based on revenue ! There's Added Value.
There's the traffic issue, SEO, Endless time of work and modifications in the site in the last 2 years, Building a community of friends (Anyone who tried to build a big community knows how hard it is to build it from scratch, as you probably know), Building a reputation (Spam free forum, Strict rules, Great mods, Zero tolerance - things that usually is hard to get for the long run in gamers forums, and we always succeeded in keeping them), and many more factors...

In any case, i'll never let go of this site for less than the minimum :) It's just doesn't worth 2 years of endless work, and i prefer to keep it and make it grow even more...

I am interested in this, but it is a little bit too much to outlay for $300 per month. I'd be willing to risk it for $3000 i.e. 10x your best monthly revenue but that's about all.

I do understand what you're saying about the community and your hard work, and yeah, to the right person it would be an excellent project to work on but I can't see many Gamers out there being able to bring $10000 to the table, for a forum.

Is there any other area you're looking to move into? Maybe we could come to some kind of deal...

    hmm, 10'500.00

I am with the posters above. I was interested also but not for that price. And now I am not due to the fact that your having offers PM'd to you. Is there any proof you have that someone honestly offered you 10.5k ( screenshot etc etc).Maybe you can get the person that offered you the 10.5k to come in here and shows us there bid. I for one hate bidding in the dark against others , should be here on the forum,, or if it is on another forum, just tell me where it is so i can verify that you actually have a real offer instead of over inflating your price.

I don't appreciate what you imply. However, this offer has been recieved in DomainState forum. You can check it out there (i think that giving a direct link is against the rules). A second best bid of $9000 has been recieved a week ago.

    Congratulations Eyal,
I did not expect anyone to meet your asking price, but with this offer, as well as the back up offer you mentioned for $9,000 it seems your hard work will pay off. Let us know once it sells if you were able to get an even better price...

    Wow!

    Congrats on that sale!

I gotta say for a site with that many members you sure do have a small amount of posts/activity but it's a PR6 so the new owner should make his/her money back in a few months with link sales on top of the $300/m regular income if they do it right.

I have a site with a little more than half those members and every one of my forums has at least one post daily (hence it has 3 times the posts). You have forums that haven't been posted in for days. I'm guessing you prune posts regularly? And when I last checked moments ago there was only 1 member online out of 7832!

Again that's an amazing deal you have there, so hats off to you for that salesmanship. Hope the new owner is happy!
