I've tried Tetris before. I've yet to try Gran turismo 4 yet though. What features does it have that the old ones don't?
More cars. That's about it, that's why I listed 3 & 4 together. I forgot Pop'n Twinbee (for the SNES)! My favourite game of time! The SNES/Super Famicom is easily my fav system
No idea what the new cars in GT4 are (not off the top of my head anyway)... it's certainly cheap enough to go and buy tomorrow GT4 is one of my all time top 5 games... and I've been playing games since the VIC-20 days Top 5 desert island games.... - GT4 (PS2) - Tetris (SNES/Mono GameBoy) - Pop'n Twinbee (SNES) - Bejewelled (various... I play it on my iPaq and Palm) - Galaxian (which I play using MAME on my GP2X)
Not sure how much it is. Crap! I forgot Sonic. He's on my top 5 list too. Maybe I should have made a top 10. I still love playing Tetris. Especially on the SNES with the volume cranked up, sad isnt' it I've got a GP2X*, which runs all sorts of emulators.. SNES, NES, Genesis, Master System, MAME, GameBoy etc... My favorites: Doom 3, Portal, Half-Life 1 & 2, Serious Sam 1 (SS2 is sh1t), Quake 3 & 4 and lots of other...
I like the classics.... Boxed NES. Boxed Atari 2600 Junior. Boxed Gen1 GameBoy. PS2. GP2X. I use software emus for the rest (SNES, MAME, etc). I used to have a Sega Master System and a SNES/WildCard ... but I stupidly sold them back in the late 90s. I worked in a SNES shop when I was a teenager, so I've got a big soft spot for the Super Nintendo and Famicom consoles.
I like a lot of older SNES and PC games...Doom, Starcraft, Final Fantasy III (U.S.), Secret of Mana, Super Metroid, Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, I can go on forever there are so many good games in that era. I also love a ton of PS2/Xbox/Gamecube games, ICO, Shadow of Collosus, FFXII, Metroid Prime, Legend of Zelda Wind Waker, Halo (series), Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, I can't even think of them all.
Yes I still have my NES! It's in the box, with all the manuals and sales brochures for extra carts etc... I need to clean the contacts on it, but other than that it's totally mint. It's one of my favourite 'semi' collectibles Atari 2600 is awesome. You should download Stella. It's a great 2600 emulator for Windows. The games look awful, but some of them are really addictive. http://stella.sourceforge.net/ But then again... if you never played them as a kid, Atari 2600 games probably totally suck
Half-life 1 & 2, Doom, Quake, Unreal, Super Smash Bros Melee, DDR, Soul Caliber 3, Metroid Prime, Fear, Prey, Sin, Halo… I’m big on shooters if you cant tell. Then there’s my top fav’s for free games: Melty Blood, Touhou suimusou, Albatross18 (Pangya Season3), Blood over, Combat DX9, Trackmania, stepmania... list goes on, most are dojin games.
I enjoy StarCraft, Counter Strike, Warcraft III on the PC, and I like to play RPG type games on gaming consoles. I'm really waiting for StarCraft II to come out, though.
I love strategy games like AoE II, Civilization III, Sims is cool for me too and nearly all tycoon games (Lemonade Tycoon, Star Cruise Tycoon, Shopping Mall Tycoon, etc,etc,etc)
