Hey everyone. I felt like I needed to restart offers/bids as well as give more information on a project we are doing this summer because we had some issues with the last attempt. The elance posting for this is found here: [link] (See payment information at the bottom of this thread) Budget: Up to $5,000 - Be reasonable with bids/offers as we will have to come up with a statement of work before proceeding. Payments: Since this is a large project, we will need to work through an escrowing service such as elance or vworker. This is for both of our protection and that there has to be a level of accountability. -------------------------------------------------------- As part of a 6 month full revamp project (of the site and game in whole), I have a need to completely redesign www.tripletriadextreme.com into an actual website made for a web-based, trading card game. Right now, it looks more like a news-generating site or a business portal. The parts of the game that are on that site that were made web-based, do not feel "gamey". The scope of this project includes a website revamp with the following: * A brand new website, color schemes, and logos mostly reflecting the origin of the game, Final Fantasy 8. Other final fantasy references are preferable. * Animations, special effects, etc. should be used as much as possible to keep the site from being bland. * The website should focus more on the game aspect than the news aspect of the site. * It should focus on community development. The comments, facebook additions, etc. should be properly organized. * The site should be easily navigated. * Statistical pages should be revamped to use more eye candy to convey the statistics so that the user can feel proud (or not proud) of his or her accomplishments. Users have stated they like the feel (statistics wise) of the site: [link] * The site should be lightweight and work within the bounds of SEO in terms of overall file size and render time. * The website is generated by a custom .NET solution. This will not be provided to you. Since the solution is skinable, I will need a CSS, the html code, and the graphics to support it and I will render it for you. Please understand that I intend to invest a significant amount of time and effort into the overall project that this posted job encompasses. The design of the site is critical to its success. I do not want a standard gaming website template nor do I want a page with a flimsy asp.net grid (like we have now). It should feel like an actual web-based game. Additionally, the revamp of this project will include the merge of the client application that we have and the website. Some thought on the actual game play and tables in terms of the site layout will also be a part of this project. If you are interested, you can read some excerpts from chat discussions about the background and scope of the project. When you submit a proposal, please include previous work/portfolios. Do not apply if you are a template mill. Please understand that I am looking for a design that is exceptional with a style suitable for gaming, not a design suited for e-commerce. ------- Some background and scope of the project: The website is based off of a trading card game that has existed for almost 11 years. We have a dedicated fan base but our biggest problem has been our web presence and being a client app. I think that has been a strength given technology in the past but we are going to transition to the web over the summer. But we do not have a very good foundation to work from.. the website we have was a gutted wordpress theme which was better than what we used to have. in order to get buy in from the player base to go web based... we need an exceptional web design that would cater to a web-based card game. I think the main theme would be to bring the cards to life. That seems to be well-received. The other challenge is to display content/statistics/information in a way that would be expected in a game... icons, graphics, etc instead of looking like a business web portal. the website is www.tripletriadextreme.com - you would have to envision the game being moved to the website. This means that there should be some thought in how to display a triple triad board colorfully. The goal is to make the website feel like an actual game and have players want to visit it instead of feeling like it is cumbersome. After much deliberation, I believe that I have the perfect example(s) to come up with the layout that we desire: * Take gaiaonline.com's system of content delivery (like the header and showing the user's statistics) * The graphical intensity of: http://zygat3r.deviantart.com/art/U...?q=boost:popular in:designs/web fantasy&qo=20 (I don't like the columns here but the intensity is great) * The overall structure of: http://renjir0.deviantart.com/art/F...5723?q=boost:popular fantasy web design&qo=22
You need the best here, theres only a few people on this board that can handle a project of this scope to completion. I offer the most stunning design on top of that. Please check out the thread in my sig and let me know if i'm the right guy for the game project!
