GAME SITE OWNERS | How to promote?

Hi, I have an online game site. I'm having troubles to take off, I need more traffic. Banners exchange is fine but doesn't do the work.
What do you offer?

 

Try making a video which offers tips on the chosen game and add your link in the description, some of the gaming videos on youtube get a massive amount of views.

 

There are tons of gaming forums that you could join and post your link around. Or just put it in your signature and people will start visiting it.

 

What kind of online game website is it?

 

Try to place advertising on popular game forums. Information is disseminated very quickly there. But you need to apply it correctly.

 

Advertise on Google Adword with targeting Keyword related Games Site

 

The best way is buying space from those high traffic game forum and use affiliate program (suggest use pay per lead)

 

Promote on the Video Games section of Craigslist. You sure to get hits over there!

 

for me..games should have videos on websites like YouTube. a lot of game seekers like me go to youtube to see the latest games and know the reviews and the look of the game.

Why not use facebook/twitter. U can buy post on their profile, fanspage or twit on facebook/twitter. Try buy on fiverr. Social media is good for get traffic for niche entertainment.

 

You could find other gaming blogs, and leave comments with a backlink to your site, ensure that the comments adds value or else they might be removed

Try adwords? very good to get a decent traffic and games niche doesn't require big CPC bid...

 

Get free traffic out of youtube like johnhunter suggested. I did it once for one of my blogs and got some decent traffic back but remember your videos have to be somewhat interesting or youll get not views at all.

PS: mines were about lesbian kissing but accounts get banned if they show too much skin.

 

Try having a press release written and have it distributed. Or you can promote you site through facebook ppc. A lot of game offers do well promoted from facebook. And so your games site should attract some attention.

 

you can do facebook ads, just target those who "like" a similar game and you've got some targets.. then again I haven't a clue as to what kind of game site you have.

 

Try out Google Adwords while not lot of Google ads show in the middle of the game while playing.
I think it useful while i found related game i usually will look for it .
Facebook ads also a good idea while it cheap and most of ppl look for game in FB because people on fb is for social and gaming only.
