Hello, I have a game site. I want to use ther some game screenshots but I dont have these games. I searched in the web but couldnot find any licensefree game screenshots. For example, there is no licensefre screenshots of World of Warcraft. Is there any license agreement for game screenshots at all? Can I copy one of these Images.
What are you going to do with the screenshots? If you are merely going to use them to educate others about the game you may have a fair use exception to the trademarks and copyrights of the owners. However, be careful, the 4 prong test for using the fair use exception means not moneterizing your site. (Also fair use is an affirmative defense to a law suit. It could be expensive to impose your rights.)
