There are several things wrong with your site. One, obviously, is the lack of traffic, however, it'll increase over time as long as you practice SEO. The fixed background is also somewhat distracting. The logo/banner doesn't go well with the site either. I also don't like the font in the posts. It is very large and "chunky," if you know what I mean. I suggest 10 point Arial. Try experimenting for the best look and feel! Good luck!
the background and all the colors that go with it make it boring i would either find a new background or find a way to make you page standout
well i need tips on how to fix it lol. What do you think would fix it. color or the whole outlook on the pages? i like the background lol
I'd integrate the picture background as part of your banner and don't have the forum text on top of it, looks weird when you scroll. Maybe introduce another complimentary or contrast colour, some custom icons that match the style of your game for the forum topics might be good as well. I'd change the white text - News, Forum Name, The Game, General etc to black or change the background it is on for better contrast. Hope that's useful. The game sounds pretty ambitious, what engine are you planning on using? I've been working in game development for the last few years and we had a similar design regarding the idea of an RTS style commander leading FPS troops but it's not easy to realise. Especially if you want it to be massively multiplayer with huge maps as you describe. After assessing we went with a different project. I hope you have deep pockets for this one Best of luck with it.
The site (forum) looks nice, but some elements make it uncomfortable to use. IMO you'd better to fix background, as already said. Make it viewable under the threads/section tables while scrolling also isn't a good idea. Change border color to more neutral and disable some of onmouseovers for tabless (it's useful, but not everywhere). If you make some changes it's gonna be very attractive and interesting for gamers auditory. I'm an owner of gaming site myself (Counter-Strike related) and wish you good luck with your project!
what do u see wrong with the colors? It has to be relevant to North Africa & stuff that's why its a bit dull.
I think you've got the colour integrated spot on. But I don't see your logo, and I think you definately need some art to make it look more interesting. But it all depends if you just want it to be a forum, or something more than that.
