I bought gss because of this pack and all I can say about this pack is that I feel like I got ripped off, there are so many spelling errors, wrong thumbnails, and dupes that it will take weeks to fix everything. I might just have to pay more for a good game pack from gss directly.
Also,this database will not work with Gamescript out of the box.Anyone thinking this is plug-and-play beware.
What kektex said is TRUE to a certain extend. GS and PAS are using 2-tables to describe the game information, so you will need a little bit of database knowledge to install the game. In the package that you get, you will be getting a sample GS CSV so you can upload without too much edit. I can also provide installation for a fee but it is definitely worth it compare to buying the game pack from GS site. For GSS, since it is 1-table description, you can use my sample file without any edit. Seems like jeter4982 know what he is doing
If anyone has gotten the .csv provided with the games to import into mysql, could you please send me the sql file, since I can not get the csv to wrok nor get forgetmenot to send me the sql file.
1. What script are you using? 2. I have included an XLS (Excel) file in the zip file, you can modify it to fit any database structure for your script. If you are using GSS, there is a CSV that you can use. ---- Updated: fgs: Sorry, I didnt realised it is you until I check my PM box. Anyway, from your previous PMs I know that you are using your own script. SQL from other scripts will not work unless you have the same database structure. The best way is to use the Excel (XLS file) database that I provided in the zip file, make changes to the columns so that it match your script database structure, and save it as CSV. You can also convert the CSV to SQL using tools online (do a Google search). The database I provided is completed with Game Title, Description, Category. SWF and Thumbnails (2 sizes) are also included.
How long does it take to get the download of GameSiteScript? I via' paypal for the Trial GSS and its been almost 3 hours and still nothing. Sent you a PM before i brought the GSS ..still waiting for your responsed?
forgetmenot, just check my email to see if it was there which you mention earlier it takes 24 hrs. It was there?? Now there is another problem..the darn link expired on me. Whatso crappy the link only lasted for 5 hrs..Now what? I been busy trying to down load a FTP so that i could use it to upload the game link now i think i have a virus..anyway if you could kindly let me know how long it will take to get another link i would be most appreciated. O.K. i have another problem..the file extension .rar will not download on the desktop. I thought it would come as zip. not as .rar ..thats the only thing that i can download with. Let me know what to do ? Loretta.
