Game-Advertising-Online

Hey all, I'm currently trying to promote my web game (In my sig), and I cam accross www.game-advertising-online.com. I tried it before, and didn't have any success, so I thought I'd try it again. I've spent around $70 so far, and only got about 50 signups. Any ideas on how I can increase the amount of people signing up?

I mean per dollar. 1 member per $1.20 is kind of steep

Maybe the people are just playing the games. Which is enough for me as membership is not required on my site. I opened an account and will give them a try.

We have a very popular gaming vertical on www.adtoll.com with some VERY cheap advertising going on a lot of the sites. I do think its definitely worth checking out.

I already did. Spent $50 on a campaign there about a week ago, it's still active, but I only got 1 signup from it.

Your campaign is only 15% complete, a long way to go but yes it would have been nicer to get more than one sign up. Have you considered perhaps it's the landing page? I realise it goes direct to the main site but its chock a block full of information, stats and all sorts. Maybe try a simpler landing page with just enough information the visitor needs. Make it easy for them to sign up, let them sign up from the landing page etc...

    Just an idea...

Your campaign also has no targeting so the ad is being delivered across the entire network, which is ok but it just might be attracting clicks from users that are not really interested in signing up, but just wanted to check it out.

Please keep me posted on how this goes for you.

You should try and book some Sponsored Ads directly on some of the popular arcade sites, they are so cheap and offer a lot of clicks and I myself have bookings on them for sites I run and I have had really good success.

Yep saw you did that... it might help adding a bit more information on it about the game. Remember your landing page is a sales pitch, YOU WANT TO CONVERT THE VISITOR!

    Excellent, keep it up!

What I find as well when I do advertising like that is offer them some free turns or game credits. It really helps my conversion rate ....

    PEOPLE LOVE FREE SHIT!

    Use either gamebanners.com or AdSense.
If you want to go the cheap route, definitely try out ClickSor...I know a lot of gaming sites use ClickSor. :)

AdToll.com is a great place too.

I only use GAO now. Paying ~$0.20 for each signup. Your register link must be VERY visible. Ingame screenshots are good, free ingame stuff also works great.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKmcc9JqVN8 Ill give you in game advertising and installer advertising for a reasonable price on Billboard advertising in the game. Now the prices are very cheap, and will rise over time, this is a permanent ad space in a 3d fps game.

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.indocrononline.com

I'm guessing you're either losing money because your server isn't available when the ads are running, or you have a poorly designed landing page. A conversion rate of <10% is very poor. I'm getting about 40-50% using GAO.
