Hi all, I have always been on the understanding you cant have google ads on gambling sites Today out of curiosity I clicked on a gambling site that had google ads on The main thing that confused me was the fact that the ads were gambling related links Am I lead to believe now google is now ok with this??? cheers all mrix
I guess premium publisher's might be allowed, but everybody else doesn't have the liberty. You have to follow the TOS.
Are the gambling ads displaying for a log period of time? Actually in AdWords you possibly can place such Ad (if you omit banned words), but it will be most likely disabled in couple of hours or days by adwords stuff.
hmm, weird.....Im sure they will be gone soon expecially if its against the tos. The adsense/adwords team works pretty fast on stuff like this.
What I am saying though and suprises me most is the fact that there are gambling related adsense ads. I actually clicked on one of the adsence links which took me to a page of gambling related websites cheers mrix the link is here.. http://www.getfavourites.net/best_online_casinos.htm
That's weird. Why does google need to allow this? sounds unfair to some of those who got his/her adsense banned for this offense.
I've seen adsense running well in gambling tutorial sites, but this is the first time I'm seeing adsense in a gambling affiliate site.
I noticed there was a Google search box on that page... are these allowed on Gambling sites? Have always wondered about that?
I asked the question over at the Google webmasters forum and my topic got removed I didnt add the link to that site. Cheers mrix
Hi all, Looking at the New policy, I have found out that Google now allow people that have got a gambling licence only within the UK can use adwords. The strange thing though when I check the policy on Google adsense it still showing you are not allowed to have gambling adsense anywhere, not even in the UK So how would the adwords work cheers mrix
Yea my point is if people can purchase adwords other must be able to display adsense ads? or whats the point? cheers mrix
In my opinion there should be a difference between gambling and online gambling. Because as far as I know "online gambling" is prohibited. But casinos in hotels' buildings should not have a problem with law. May be this was the reason of why you saw Adsense ads on some gambling related sites. I don't know the exact answer of your question also I am not interested in gambling business. Adsense TOS is not clear for me too.
Still the adsense running well in the above site. Now its about a week. Has google changed their rules in TOS?
maybe its a publisher that is allowed to run Adsense on gambling sites. and has an agreement on google adsense program..
