Warning from the 5 Star blog. "Affiliates - If you still promote gambling sites be forewarned. You could be held liable and prosecuted just like the operators of the gaming site. I've warned affiliates that they could get in trouble for promoting gambling but until today I didn't know for sure how the law viewed affiliates. Below is information about how the law views ANYONE that is affiliated with online gambling sites including affiliates and advertisers." Gambling Affiliates Can be Prosecuted Due to New Law http://affiliate-blogs.5staraffiliateprograms.com/2006/10/24/gambling-affiliates-new-law/
Yes the gambling law has been in the news, but this is the 1st time I've seen anything about the law that says affiliates can be prosecuted JUST LIKE the principles and owners of the company. That's new news.
Sorry to contradict but I read the bill and I did not see any specification regarding affiliates... US citizen can sign up and play online as long as they don't play for real money. Here is the full safe port bill which include the gambling act at section 800: http://www.rules.house.gov/109_2nd/text/hr4954cr/hr49543_portscr.pdf
Well, that is only for site owners living in US right? Even big companies like 888.com are moving their servers out of USA.
