I'm just wondering if anyone knows if promoting a gambling affiliate is against the AdSense TOS? I run a sports site which does predictions a couple of times a month and thought that running sportsbook affiliate ads would be a nice match, but I don't want to get banned by AdSense for doing it. Any comments? Note: I've seen other sports sites doing this, but I don't know if it's okay, or if they just haven't gotten caught yet.
As long as your sites content isn't based on gambling it should be fine. i suggest you don't use text links for that affiliate program. Use the banners and graphics they have, this will keep AdSense bot from picking up gambling keywords and keyphrases. You should be ok.
Ok, so you're esstentially saying that it's ok as long as their bots don't start picking up content that sees me as a gambling site. I'd hate to think that a single text link in a page of text could get me banned, but I guess that's the game we all play. The content of my site is not about gambling at all, except for my predictions posts, but currently they don't mention gambing either...just my thoughts on who I think will win and why. Your not allowed to have any gambling related content, it mentions nothing about images or outbound links.
