Gallery with Lightbox and html integration!

Hello,

I was working on a site which demands a gallery associated with it.

Now what I wanted was to display random images horizontally on the index page of my site and have a lightbox effect on them!

Can this be done or any script that does the same ?

I know of something like this in Wordpress, but the current site is plain, simple XHTML/CSS. Any solution ?

Search for litebox or lightbox witg google.. both ajax.. they function well.. but i am not glad with it because of the fact that those are not xhtml valid.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but does anyone know how to add a banner on top of the lightbox? So everytime you pull up an image you'll see your banner above the image?
