im not really looking for an appraisal of the monetary value of my domain im interested in how it sounds to you guys?

i have a MMO script and i own www.galaxyempires.com im basically going to make a browser based game...

does "galaxyempires" sound ok to you? is it only me or does it sound a bit "off"?

english is not my 1st language so im not really sure here and would be greatfull for any comments from native speakers...

i tired to reg galacticempires.com but theres many trademark issues left and right so i decided to go with galaxy instead of galactic?

I don't like too much this name.
For example galaxiesempire.com is better imo.

mid to high $xx.. if you keep it long enough and there are galaxy empires to communicate with... then you'd have a .com worth about $xx,xxx,xxx... minus depreciation.. hold onto it for about 10,000-20,000 years.. ^_^

I like it for a browser based game though!!! PM me when you get the site up and running.. :D

thanks for the info i was just wondering if it sounds a bit "off" being that galacticempires.com was my first choice but this domain has some serious trademark problems so galaxyempires was the next best thing...i guess they cant say im infringing on the trade mark now...

the script is very good even though i say so myself...none of that cheap 100$ stuff this is custom all the way...

I would be careful using this name for a browser game. I believe the TM issues you mentioned earlier probably relate to a Lucas/SOE trademark on some of the Star Wars titles. galaxyempires sounds pretty close to one of the expansion packs for Star Wars Galaxies - Online Adventures mmorpg. You may be ok but if Goerge Lucas or Sony either one decided to come after the domain I would say they have the bankroll to do it. Other than that its a sweet name and I would hold onto it. Just be careful the game is not close enough to the above mentioned, to cause any further TM issues.

Domain definitely sounds like a good game title (do you know flash? Maybe you can develop it into an Internet game).

yes i know this is galacticempires that is already a space mmorpg but its 2 generic names and my galaxyempires is not the same name...

i found 2 other guys who were developing galaxyempires in 2006 so i dont know if im infringing or not will have to check...
