I run a blog an entertainment one. I was number one for the keyword I selected for this category but now I been bumped down to page 3. How can I get back to number 1? I was thinking If I link the category to other websites would this boost it's popularity in the search engine?
Would you tell mydream, when did your site dropped? as there are big updates going in Google and Yahoo as well.. so many sites are dropping and coming back.. if it dropped recently before 4-5 days then its just because of updates.. wait for 1 week and see the results, if your site doesnt gain its SERPs back then you need to work on your site again like adding some content, backlinks and dir submission or article and press release submission .. that might really help you to get up..
seoindiaweb, Can you refer me to a good source of info for beginners at Press Releases? Is this a free service that can be had?

My site is new I opened it at the end of may. I guess I'm a little greedy with keywords that deal with my site, because I'm number one for several keywords that are searched for. I get major hits from google, yahoo and msn about 3000 uniques a day and this is without any affiliates and no sites will accept me because I have no PR . I'm trying to optimize my site to get over 5000 uniques a day. Thank for the links and help I will look into them. Oh ya I don't understand the big sandbox theory too much because I seem to have no trouble at all.
You should try and get more traffic. I don't think it had enough for the #1 spot. It had it to get there but not to stay.
