I submitted an article to GoArticles.com and within three days it was picked up by four sites. Amazing!

Update: I've checked for backlinks on my sites and now have a total of 12 from my articles being distributed to other sites.

I think you will find that this number can vary quite a bit depending on:

1.) The quality of the article - Informative and well written ones get distributed more while sales pitches offering nothing new are rarely picked up
2.) The topic - Financial and Webmaster related articles tend to generate more links although other areas have a higher conversion rate.

I'm glad you were able to see the benefit of submitting articles

well my problem with submitting articles was: at first I gained a lot of visitors, around 1500 extra a month, but after that i was not getting anymore after a few months... so should I keep submitting new articles?

Absolutely, articles gain their highest distribution within the first 5 days. The SEO benefits will be there for a long time but when it comes to visitors it is a curve that slowly diminishes as the article gets pushed out of the Top 100 by new submissions.

Rather then submit 20 articles at once, the smarter thing to do is spread them out.

ah okay very nice!! would you be able to PM me a list of article submission sites? I would be interested in putting loads online!

Btw Another great option is Put Designs online! I've putten a few free templates online and managed to get around 2 visitors a day from that. I know it ain't much, but hey I only submitted 3 designs!

We actually have more articles than any other site except the other two I listed. I obviously can't tell how many uniques every site has but I bet we are right up there ;)

www.articlecity.com probably has some pretty signifigant traffic but they stopped accepting articles back in April.

All 3 display live links (although you have to use Anchor Text with GoArticles)

GoArticles doesn't use static links but due to their sheer size and number of links, you articles are still indexed fairly quickly.

All 3 are worth the time to sign up and submit (Article Depot has a Quick Submit so no signup is neccesary)

I wrote a good article a few months back which had a link to my site.

I originally posted it on my site, then submitted the exact same article to the article sites, and 10 of them have the article.

    Is this duplicate content?

Thanks go to anyone who can explain this to me.
