    Hi,
    Hey guys what's your opinion on this? Alexa and Amazon have moved over and are now partners with Microsoft for MSN. G now are no longer partners with Alexa and Amazon, they used Alexa for traffic information. will Google be able to keep up being the top search engine on the internet or will MSN start to take lead?

    Good question. I bet with the recent purchase of Youtube and MySpace on their belt will keep them on top for 2-3 years IMO. They will still remain popular with Youtube and Myspace on their belt.

    I can't see MSN taking over the lead....first they have to fix the crappy and spammy results that their search engine return.

    Alexa rank is becoming more and more a joke as people have figure out a lot of ways to manipulate alexa rankings. I have even done this in the past and I can tell you its easy.

    And google did not purchase Myspace...they just signed a contract to handle the advertising

    This might be the first stepping stone for MSN to get closer to the top-spot, but i doubt they will take over anytime soon.

    Google - AdSense, Myspace, YouTube (3 of the most popular names these days)

    Sure, there's also microsoft but first they'd need to fix their search engine resutls, as oseymour said.

    Google is a Big comapny but don't forget Microsoft is a bigger company than Google.Microsoft also have load of money and brains working for them.

    Though Google is performing better at this stage but this is not easy for to defeat Microsoft Gaint.

    This is the battle for power and name. I agree, Google Rules over the internet but Microsoft rules on our computers as 90% of people use Microsoft's operating system and now microsoft is combining this base with their search engine. Which will give them an advantage over google.

    Just my 2 cents;)
