<g:MPN> attribute now required?

We had an 8300-product feed (home electronics products, approved for the past 3 years) suddenly dumped and disapproved this week.

Actually the feed, which had been approved 2 weeks ago, suddenly had all product statuses changed to "Active... searchable soon". Thinking we were suspended because we didn't use the MPN attribute, we resubmitted the xml including the MPN attribute... it was instantly DISALLOWED.

Another 25000-product feed, in the designer sunglasses market also had all items changed to "Active... searchable soon".

Anyone else get dumped this week?

 

I had my feeds disapproved 3 weeks ago. took 3 weeks to get back to the search.

 

I do not think mpn is required though. They never said its required.
