Whats going on with g-metrics lately? Probably 2/3's of the time I get 0's back for most of my listings. Is anyone else having issues lately? Is it possible there are just too many users there now for the API to handle the queries?
You are not alone... I usually check my listings there daily, but have been getting all sorts of strange results for the past couple days... mostly 0's
My main site is a mess today. I think that is why my weight is acting up. I have my backlinks, but zero indexed pages no matter how I submit the query with API based tools.
Yeah I noticed it has not been working over the last few days. I always wondered how he ran that site without requiring me to enter an API key. Nothing on his blog. Ross
Now my backlinks are gone and I have indexed pages. My other site seems normal. However there are still about 20 bots as we speak visiting me and it's been like that about 72 hours. I have a good feeling, I hope I'm not being a fool!
G-Metrics is still broken. Now I wish I wouldn't have posted links to them all the time in response to API questions. Looks like my sites have been pushed outside the query limit (all but one). I will give it another week to get fixed, then I am moving elsewhere. Does anyone have an accurate site like g-metrics that allows me to put in my own API. I'm looking for simplicity similar to the G-MEtrics tools but without the limitation of sharing a Generic API.
not even familiar with their service....what does it do exactly? Just returns the number of pages for a particular query via the API?
I use more then one, my api key and theirs. It's consistant. Consistantly messed up now for about 3 or 4 days. Despite that I have zero backlinks, my indexed pages increased by about 1000% and my advertising firm that sells links for me has re-ranked me higher then the google stats.
Basically you can put in any Google query and it will keep reports for you (it checks each day) in number and graph form. I used it for site: allinurl: to check against my coop account Unfortunately it doesn't allow you to put in your own API which leads me to believe its running of the site owners API. It now seems to have gotten too popular and there are no more queries left each day when it gets to my account. I have no idea who owns it or if it is even still active.
I lost ya, at what site where? The short answer is yes, there is a box to use your key on some sites and DP that I can say for sure in our account menus.
You arent bothering anyone, I was just trying to understand your post that you could use your own API key at G-metrics when I couldn't find that capability.
I thought g-metrics was a generic term for using the API. What I was saying is I use some API tools that use a generic site key and my key and the results are the same, messed up. I don't know a thing about that specific site/app though.
