    Hi all

I am about to send a mai llist out for the first time to a large list of subscribers. I have a mail system in place and will be going through a gmail account SMTP. I just wondered what the sending limits on a gmail account are. How many can i send a day/hour/second?

I dont want to be seen as spamming ( which im not doing ). I need to send to about 40000 email addresses, all of which are customers.

    Any advice appreciated.

I highly doubt that will work ... I would send 50 - 100 emails per account per day with gmail..

You need a software that rotates those accounts and send out the emails. Blasting 40k emails with one account is seen as spam .. Even sending out 500 emails at once trough one email is spam ..

u can send 500 mails per day in gmail.

but chances are more they suspend your gmail account if u keep sending 500 emails continuously 2-3 days ^.^

what about gettting a pro-gmail account? I am not sure but I have heard people doing this. First make Google your client and then ask their representative how best you can send mass mails (in your case, since you have said you are not a spammer, so you have a better chance of getting a custom servic from them)
