"....we found that your AdSense account has posed a significant risk to our AdWords advertisers." This sounds so vague in typical Google AdSense style. Write to them and ask for clarification. Judging from the wording, I don't think its due to invalid clicks, otherwise they would have mentioned that right away.

Why is that google finds RISK only when they see an account with some balance in it ?

Has anyones account banned at 10$ or 20$ .why dont they ban account when the money is low ? they eat up the advertisement for whol month and at the time of payment they say some Bullshit .
Google Adsense Sucks to the core .

    yeah, it's standard message

they banned me, when I crossed $1000 level. When I earned $800, $950 a month, everything was OK.

Oh well, there is a guy who got his account closed and he won
when he did sue Google, so you might try the same.
Do a search on Aaron Greenspan's article in huffingtonpost.com
    why-i-sued-google-and-won

It simply sucks big time when Adsense closes the accounts
of people that have been click-bombed by whomever, and
most probably competition, or people paid by the competiotion,
or simply someone who hates you...

God Damn, that's a hell of a lot of money. If that happen to me I would rip out my hair, you need to contact them and get it sorted it.

But don't they send you the remaining money when they close the account!

no, they do not send payments to the owners of closed accounts,
and strangely, the 1st thing they do is paying back the advertisers,
which haven't even asked for it - if this doesn't suck, what does??

After posting in this forum someone went click crazy on my adsense ads on my main blog. The moment I saw it, I took adsense down. As a result, I've taken a hit as far as income goes, and I learned my lesson. This happens all the time from nasty vindictive people. If you see your CTR soar, shut it down! I only let a couple of hours through. I also recorded the IP of the clicker. Always pays to have comprehensive stats :D

I had that happen to me before, and I was in the same situation as you. Google never replied back after I sent the appeal, but I did get paid for whatever was my total balance for that month.

I got the same problem, so I wrote to solve the problem. Google replied with: "we confirm that the clicks were invalids". There was nothing to do. It might by true about the clicks, but the most frustrating aspect of this is the fact that no one gets a warning before. The day you know there is a problem, it is too late. Even with good faith, you are considered responsible by Google.

If you click on your own ads it is normal to get banned. If your neighbor decides to click a lot on your ads, I suppose it could be considered as fraud. Except from our IP, how will Google know if this comes from your actions?

They are right to protect their advertisers, however it would be nice to have a minimum protection as a publisher.

This is a really good idea, I've had to do the same in the past, but it's well worth it if adsense is a big part of your earning on your sites.

Fairplay to the guy who won the case against google but most people wouldnt want to go to that expense. The guy must of paid alot for a top lawyer on that. Probably more than he earned from adsense.

That is such a shame to lose that much money, I bet words cant describe how gutted you are :(

though I do think anything over a hundred dollars is great so it's probs best to keep your payout threshhold there. good lesson for anyone really, even the mega-earners out there
